1. Introduction

Welcome to Astro — a local-first personal finance app designed for simplicity, privacy, and a calm money experience. By accessing the Astro app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. What Astro Provides

Astro helps you track income, expenses, subscriptions, and balances while keeping your data private.

• Local-only data storage by default
• Optional encrypted cloud backups
• No bank linking, scraping, or tracking
• No ads or profiling

3. Website Email Collection

When you submit your email to join the Astro waitlist, we collect it to send launch notifications, early access invitations, and product updates.

You may unsubscribe at any time.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Astro.

5. Account & Login Data

If you sign in using Google, Astro stores:

• Google user ID
• Email address
• Name (if provided)
• Profile picture URL (if provided)

This data is used only for account management, paid backup access, and fraud prevention. Astro does not access contacts, files, calendars, or Drive content.

6. Optional Cloud Backup Subscription

Astro offers one optional paid tier:

• Daily encrypted backups

Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Store and renew automatically.

7. Cloud Backups

Backup data is encrypted on your device before upload and stored in Supabase Storage (Singapore region). Astro cannot decrypt your data.

8. Your Responsibilities

• Use Astro legally and ethically
• Keep your device secure
• Do not reverse engineer or misuse the app

9. Data Deletion

• Delete local data by uninstalling the app
• Delete cloud backups via the in-app option
• Unsubscribe from emails anytime

10. Limitation of Liability

Astro is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for any loss of data or financial damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on the website.
